Dr. Reid Ponte is an associate professor of the practice at both the 电子游戏软件 William F. 康奈尔护理学院 and The Woods College of Advanced Studies, Master of Health Administration 程序. She has an appointment as a Professor of Practice at Simmons University, 自然学院, Behavioral and Health Sciences where she teaches in the DNP Nurse Executive Leadership 程序.

She is a member of the board of trustee at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA and a member of the Beth Israel Lahey Health System Quality Committee.

Before her appointments as a faculty member at 电子游戏软件 in 2018, Dr. Reid Ponte served as Chief Nursing Officer and Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Executive Director of Oncology Nursing and Clinical Services at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 波士顿, 在马萨诸塞州工作了17年. During that time she served as a project co-pi of an NCI U54 and U56 grant establishing an accelerated BSN to Ph.D. 程序 and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship 程序 in Oncology and Health Disparities with the University of MA, 波士顿.

Dr. Reid Ponte also held clinical and leadership positions at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital and the Tufts-New England Medical Center, where she began her nursing career in 1976. 

She received a research intensive Doctor of Nursing Science degree in 1989, and a Masters of Nursing Science degree in 1979 both from 波士顿 University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts, 阿默斯特. She was a 2001 Robert Wood Johnson Nurse Executive Fellow and is an active member of the American Academy of Nursing. Her scholarly work focuses on health care quality, patient and family centered care, and health system leadership.
